A New Level of Trust

“Trust the Lord with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding, in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make straight your paths” Proverbs 3:5-6

This was the first verse I latched on to when I began my music ministry. I wrote a song called “Fork In the Road” that talked about coming to a place where you had to make a decision, trusting that God would lead you and not just sitting there so afraid that you didn’t step out in faith.

In the past 6 months this verse has taken on so much more meaning for me in several ways.
In January I began the process for this new CD. When I began talking about it, and started writing for it I knew I wanted to do it but had no idea where the money and support would come from. Scraping together what we could we made the first payment and began recording. All I knew is that it would come together… the songs, the music, the money, and the ministry would happen. Now it is May and the Cd is practically finished. Along the way some very generous people both known and anonymous have given to the project and we should have enough to see this through including the artwork and production of CDs.

It is good to know that we serve a God who is faithful and who provides if we step out on faith and follow Him. It reminds me of Peter walking on the water. Jesus calls Him and as long as he keeps his eyes focused on Jesus, Peter walks on the water towards his Savior.

That is my hope and prayer as we continue past the creation and onto the presentation of this CD. My prayer is that the songs are used in worship to encourage people and to help them focus on God. The song “You Are God” talks about our all powerful, all reaching creator, “Unfailing Love” reminds us that he is always there and that his love for his creation is unshakable, “Wonderful You Are” tells of the creator and redeemer aspects of God, and “Alleluia” is just a simple praise song to Him.

Please continue to pray as we finish up and begin taking this music into churches, camps and groups this summer. And know that when God calls you, you can trust in Him and he will show you the ways to go.
